At this especially curated performance called Not Relatable, they're testing bold new work as well as turning the subtlety dial up on some of their earlier pieces (is that even possible? - Helvetica Noise say it is). They’ll be joined by a couple of surprise guests avant-garding it up. Helvetica Noise are a scene around the inner Inner West. With poet (Aviva Shifreen), celebrated local noise and music artist (Matthew Syres - Syntax Error, Forenzics, Sawtooth, 623) and a performance art keyboardist (Genevieve Von Black - Schwa (ACT)), they warp and weft words, sounds and music into a deep mood.
Not Relatable isn't boring old poetry ranting about the human condition- it's cinematic music for moths in a dark hallway. Catch them if you can.
